The Busy Life Of A Blogger

[Shirt] Dsquared2 [Blazer] Sisley [Shoes & Trousers] Zara [Tie] Valentino
[Bag] Bottega Veneta [Sunglasses] Trussardi

Bloggers are often busy. Whether it’s going to press releases or meeting with brand representatives there is always something to do and somewhere to go. This outfit was something professional and comfortable that I wore on a very busy spring day. I’m wearing a tartan double breasted blazer with a white shirt and red Valentino tie for a pop of color. My light cream trousers are made of a linen cotton blend and are a little bit more roomy that the trousers that you normally see me wearing. This allowed me to stay comfortable all day long. I’m also happy to announce that in the next month or two Mimosas And Me will be changing from a personal style blog to a menswear website focusing on all things mens fashion, grooming and lifestyle. I want to thank all of the readers and brands that have supported me during my first 8 months of blogging. I wish you all a very productive week.

Relaxed Springs Days

[Shirt] Minimum [Vest] Ralph Lauren [Blazer] Zara [Jeans] Nudie Jeans [Shoes] No Brand Shoes [Sunglasses] Dior

It’s rare that you don’t see me wearing a tie. To be honest I’m so used to wearing ties that on days when I’m not wearing one I feel a bit uncomfortable. I feel as if something is missing and that I’m not doing a good job representing my personal style. However, today was a casual day. Tieless with a pair of jeans and blazer is casual in my book. I made the look even more relaxed by wearing a band collar shirt with a few buttons left open. Jeans are an item we all have. Just walk down the street and probably more than half of the people will be wearing them. This look to me shows a great way to wear jeans but at the same time stand out from all the others. I hope you enjoy this look. Thanks for stopping by.

Just Another Day At The Office

[Blazer] Neill Katter [Shirt] Karl Lagerfeld [Trousers] Moschino [Tie] Altea Milano
[Shoes] Loake [Sunglasses] Marc Jacobs

I think its pretty common that bloggers put a little or maybe even a lot of extra time into their outfit when they know that it’s going to be photographed for their blog. Sometimes outfits come really easy to me and other times I take a lot of time trying to style a specific look for my blog. On days when I’m not shooting I don’t put as much thought into my outfits. Sure I still try my best to look well put together and I will almost always be wearing a suit and tie but the outfit might not be as creative. Why am I saying this? Well today I wasn’t planning on taking photos. I had a few people to meet and some shopping to do and then spontaneously decided to take a few quick photos. So todays outfit might not be super special but it’s how I dress on an average day and I can tell you that clothing like this is something I never get tired of wearing. As a side note I remember a few weeks ago saying that brown just isn’t a color that I like very much. That statement is still true, however, it’s starting to grow on me a bit. I find that pairing it with dark shades of blue look best. Hope you enjoy this quick post. Have a great weekend!

Suit Supply Bodywarmer

[Vest] Suit Supply [Blazer] Scotch & Soda [Shirt] Mango [Jeans] The Kooples
[Tie] Profuomo  [Loafers] No Brand [Sunglasses] Trussardi

I’ve worn a vest or bodywarmer before but never one quite like this. This double breasted bodywarmer from Suit Supply is one of my newest purchases and has instantly become one of my favorite spring pieces. For those of you unfamiliar with Suit Supply, it’s a Dutch menswear brand that specializes in suits and formalwear, but it's not just your average suit brand. They have an amazing selection of modern designs in an array of fabrics and colors. This time I stayed away from the suit section and found this beautiful piece of outerwear. It’s navy blue, it’s double breasted, and it fits perfectly so of course I couldn’t leave without it. I’m sure I’ll be wearing this piece a lot this year but today was the first time I incorporated it into an outfit. I wore it with a burgundy blazer because I absolutely love the way burgundy and navy look together. White jeans and of course loafers finished off this early spring look. I’d love to know what you think about this special double breasted bodywarmer. Thanks for reading!

Tennis Club Chic

[Shirt] Club Monaco [Tank Top] Alexander Wang [Blazer] Zara [Trousers] Antony Morato
[Pocket Square] A. Christensen [Shoes] Puma

Take a close look? What do you see? The grey layer between my blazer and shirt is actually a tank top or an undershirt. I’m not entirely sure why I had the idea to use this under garment as an outer layer but I gave it a try and then really liked the sporty way that it looked. My photographer had another opinion about it and thought that the whole look didn’t really work, so I would love to know your honest opinion about it. Because of the sporty tank and club tie on the top I decided to finish the look appropriately with a pair of white sneakers. I think this outfit screams tennis club and is something fun to wear during the weekend. It seems as if I never wear sneakers. High tops are not for me but a simple white low top is a great way to add a bit of casualness to a suit. White sneakers are big this year so if I’m not wearing loafers or monk straps I’m sure I'll l be wearing these. Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend.

A Playful Mix Of Browns and Reds

[Sweater] John Smedley [Trousers] Moschino [Shirt] 7 For All Mankind
[Blazer] New England 83 [Shoes] Mango [Sunglasses] Trussardi

Turtleneck sweaters are a piece that I'll never get tired of. For such a simple piece of clothing their versatility is endless. In my opinion they are slightly more formal than a blazer with just a shirt but less formal than a full suit and tie. For todays outfit I’m wearing my favorite burgundy turtleneck over a denim shirt. Adding a shirt under a turtleneck sweater is something that I rarely see done but I’ve always liked the extra detail and laid back appearance that it creates plus an extra layer of warmth is never a bad thing. I really love this tartan blazer that I’m wearing and even though it’s made from a very heavy material I was able to wear it today due to the chilly spring temperature. I wanted to keep all the colors in this outfit very neutral and calming to the eye so I went with a slim khaki trouser and very light brown monk strap shoes. Having no one dominate or powerful color creates a very sleek and clean look which is something that I’m loving at the moment. What do you all think about this look? Thanks for visiting.
