A Burst Of Red

[Shirt] Diesel Black Gold [Blazer & Trousers] Zara [Tie] Drakes
[Shoes] Doucals [Sunglasses] Giorgio Armani

Red is a color that is always on trend. It's often used in small amounts to add a pop to your outfit but this year there has been a rise in red tailoring. Full red suits were seen many times during Pitti Uomo and red blazers are now becoming a go to piece for dapper men this summer. The shades will very from vibrant red to a toned down cherry or even a pastel pink but the attention grabbing effect stays the same. The safest way to wear one is with a navy trouser and white shirt. The look is summer sophisticated and looks great during the day or night. If you're going for a more laid back resort vibe then wear white jeans, a white or navy linen shirt and a pair of suede tassel loafers. You could even add a panama hat or a light silk scarf for extra style points. Red can often be so overpowering so try to stay away from mixing it with other bold colors. Would you rock a blazer such as this?

The Classic Linen Shirt [City Edition]

[Shirt] Orlebar Brown [Sweater] Marni [Pants] H&M [Shoes] Sperry [Bag] NN.07

When I think of summer then iced coffee, sunny beaches and lots of linen come to mind. However, when you're living in a city there are of course no beaches, you drink your iced coffee in a to go cup while running errands and 100% linen clothing is far to relaxed for a city atmosphere. I can’t change the city lifestyle and I certainly can’t build beaches but I can show you the perfect way to incorporate linen into your summer casual outfits. The only piece you really need is a high quality linen shirt. Try to stay away from linen trousers or a full linen suit because they tend to give off too much of a resort or holiday retreat vibe that just doesn’t look quiet right in a city. Once you have your linen shirt all you need are a cool pair of jeans or chinos and then a standout loafer to compete the look. I tied a sweater around my neck to add a little depth but this is completely optional and probably unnecessary if it’s a warmer day. You don’t need much to look good in the heat of the summer. Start with a linen shirt and your outfit is already half completed. Enjoy!

A Lot Of Floral With A Touch Of Paisley

[Pocket Square] Gagliardi [Blazer] Theory [Shirt] Club Monaco [Pants] The Kooples
[Bracelet] Bottega Veneta [Shoes] Del Toro [Sunglasses] Trussardi

Earlier this week I wrote about how ties are essential in a mans wardrobe but what I failed to mention is the importance of a good pocket square. Ties are great but no matter how you wear one your outfit will always be leaning towards the formal side. The best thing about a pocket square is that it can be worn formally but also incorporated into your casual looks. Today I wore a beautiful red and purple paisley printed pocket square from Gagliardi that finished off my look nicely. I love how a touch of color coming from the chest pocket draws many eyes and garners countless compliments. If you haven’t already jumped on the pocket square bandwagon then your really missing out. Just check out some of my other looks for more inspiration. I hope you all have a happy and stylish weekend!

Statement Neckwear Done the Gagliardi Way

[Tie] Gagliardi [Blazer] Zara [Trousers] Moschino [Shirt] Patrize Pepe
[Pocket Square] Ermenegildo Zegna [Sunglasses] Trussardi

Setting yourself apart while wearing classic tailoring can be difficult. As men we don’t have many ways to add detail to an outfit. That’s one of the reasons why I love ties so much. A statement tie is the perfect accessory to make your outfit special. The one I’m wearing from Gagliardi is getting the job done. It fits my style perfectly but also adds and an exciting pattern that will be noticed from across the room. In this outfit I wore an off white blazer which really made this already loud tie pop. The rest of the look is fairly simple and doesn’t need much explanation. Hope you guys enjoy the look and make sure to head over to the Gagliardi online shop and have a look at some of their great products and join me in the movement to become a #Gagliardigent.

Sweet Summer Days

[Blazer] Sottotono Uomo [Shirt] Club Monaco [Trousers] Maison Martin Margiela
[Shoes] Doucals [Sunglasses] Giorgio Armani

Happy Friday everyone. I’ve been busy lately preparing for a couple of collaborations that will be coming soon. Some can be seen here on the blog and others will be exclusive to my Instagram so make sure to check that out. We've had a few of hot days here in Hamburg so I stayed casual and wore light weight fabrics. This outfit is perfect for the summer. You may look at it and think that a t-shirt and pair of shorts would be better for a day pushing almost 100 degrees but believe it to not I didn’t sweat at all and was quite comfortable all day long. Of course a t-shirt can be worn and is aways a good option to keep cool but wearing light weight cotton and linen can keep you just as cool. Try going tieless and leaving a few buttons opens on your shirt to create that effortless look. My biggest tip is to not over accessorize. The more you wear the hotter you will be. It can even help if you simply leave your belt or watch at home. Just a few beads on your wrists is enough. Enjoy and stay cool.

Summer Style Featuring Windsor [Lookbook]

Shop my outfits at Windsor

Today I’m presenting some of my favorite pieces from the Windsor S/S 2015 Collection. A collection consisting of beautifully tailored suits and blazers for those that love a business look but also has plenty of casual shirts and accessories for those laid back summer days. I’ve put together four different outfits, each of them styled for a different occasion. Think of the first one as your Sunday brunch outfit. Dressy enough for meeting some friends at an upscale restaurant but also casual enough to be worn afterwards for a walk in the park. The second outfit is for those chilly summer evenings that come way too often. It’s better to add thin well tailored layers that can easily be taken off if needed. Outfit three is your vacation outfit. Consisting of basic solid colored pieces that can be styled in countless ways. The final outfit is the most casual of them all but probably my favorite look. I’m wearing a light weight blue cotton shirt paired with white jeans. Save this for those hot days. As you can see the Windsor collection is about as versatile as you can get. You can shop these pieces and more over on the Windsor website so don’t forget to check that out. Enjoy!
