Seersucker X Denim

There isn’t a more classic summer fabric than seersucker. Unfortunately it's not seen that much anymore and for the most part is thought of as outdated and something your grandfather would wear. However, if worn properly tailored, it's a great option and shouldn't be left out of your summer rotation. That’s why despite the not so summer like temperatures I’m wearing a seersucker blazer. The fabric is extremely breathable and lightweight making it perfect for those hot days but still can be worn with chillier temperatures if layered probably with a sweater or heavy denim shirt. When summer days are cold we often get the urge to wear something warm and comfortable from our winter wardrobe. I think the best thing to do is layer summer materials instead. By doing this you are still dressing seasonally appropriate and staying warm. At least on Sunday I’ll be traveling to China for a two week stay in Shanghai where the weather should be much warmer.
