China is truly a country unlike any other. When you have wealthy people and hard workers the possibilities are endless. China is becoming known for their record building speed. They are changing farm land into cities filled with thousands of buildings capable of supporting millions in just a few years. There is only one problem. Getting people to move there. Many of these cities are empty and now being called ghost cities. New malls and shopping centers located outside of the big cities are also facing this same problem. During my stay in China I had the opportunity to look at property at a newly built shopping center in Taizhou, Jiangsu. This shopping center is not your traditional Chinese design. These are western style buildings built from beautiful stones and natural materials. Each of the over 30 buildings are designed differently creating a unique property reminiscent of ivy league schools. Unfortunately all of these completed buildings stay vacant as companies and retailers are afraid to invest in a new location. A walk through this space made me realize what a beautiful shopping center this could be. I can only hope for the best because it would be a shame to see this property go to waste.

  1. That's really interesting! I had no idea they had these kind of problems in China. You look great, as always, and I just love the fabric of your jacket!
