I’m now in China and happy to share with you my first post during this trip. I’ve seen a lot of things during my first week here and apart from the late night street food, nothing's fascinated me more than the small commercial streets. These are long streets filled with hundreds of shops each selling small and very cheap products. Just about every Chinese city has a street such as this one in Taizhou, Jiangsu. On them you will find everything from clothing to auto parts but it wasn’t variety of products that interested me. For me the beauty came from the large signs above the shops and the advertisements plastered all over the windows. Each of them are extremely colorful in hopes of catching your eye. This is far from the luxury lifestyle that China is well known for, but it's equally interesting and hopefully shows you a little of the China that you don’t know. More to come soon!
