Neckwear Worn Casually And Effortlessly

[Vest] Suit Supply [Cardigan] Fred Perry [Shirt] Dsquared2 [Jeans] Zara [Tie] Olymp
[Sneakers] Adidas [Watch] Daniel Wellington [Bracelet] Bottega Veneta

Dressing casually is one of the trickiest things to do. There isn’t really a true definition of what casual wear is but pretty much anything that’s not business attire or appropriate for evening events is considered casual. When using my definition of casual then ties certainly can be worn. Actually I believe that wearing ties casually is one of the best ways to show your personal style. Everyone wears ties with a business suit so that shows no creativity at all, other then the color and pattern that you decide to wear. So how about trying to wear your neckwear with distressed denim and sneakers or under a parka when the temperature is unbearably cold. There are really a lot of way to do this but it’s still often a grey area when it comes to menswear. Ties are and always will be associated with formal wear but I encourage you to at least try incorporating one into a casual outfit. Best of luck and thanks for reading!

Gilet Over Sweater [Flatlay 1]

[Trousers] Baldessarini [Sweater] Tommy Hilifger [Vest] Aquascutum [Shoes] Pollini
[Portfolio] Tiger Of Sweden [Sunglasses] Tom Ford [Watch] Daniel Wellington

I'm far from being a professional when it comes to making flatlays. I occasionally post them on Instagram but have yet to do so here on the blog. I love to share outfits with you but am not always with my photographer so daily shooting isn't possible. I've decided to start incorporating some flatlays into the blog in addition to my normal outfit posts. I'm sure they'll get better with more practice. Anyways, here's an outfit for those days when you don't have much time to think about what to wear. Grab your favorite sweater and layer it under a vest or body warmer. Pair those piece with textured wool trousers, add some accessories and you have the perfect casual fall outfit. Want to shop it? I've found some similar items and you can buy them below to add this outfit to your closet. Have fun shopping!

Striped Knit Tie [Fall Edition]

[Shirt] 7 For All Mankind [Blazer] Zara [Trousers] Tagliatore [Tie] Brooks Brothers
[Shoes] Massimo Dutti [Sunglasses] Trussardi [Bracelet] Bottega Veneta

Fall is definitely a great time of the year when it comes to mens fashion. Layering different textures and fabrics on each other creates beautiful looks that can’t be replicated during the warmer months. I think for this reason many people say that fall is the most stylish time of the year. However, all the beautiful colors from the changing of the leaves are often forgotten about. Different hues of yellows and oranges mixed with darker greens and reds are stunning and all match perfectly together. When wearing business or business casual attire it can be difficult to incorporate these colors into your outfit without losing formality. I suggest playing around with ties and pocket squares. Wear a solid color suit and shirt and let the accessories pop. I’m wearing a burgundy and yellow knit tie that is a bit on the casual side. I prefer knit because of the added texture but for more formal days try a solid wool or silk burgundy tie. The colors of autumn are still present in your outfit without that dreaded ‘he’s trying to hard’ feeling. Thanks for reading!

Carpet Textured Sweater

[Coat] Baldessarini [Sweater] H&M [Shirt] Dsquared2 [Jeans] Nudie Jeans
[Shoes] Massimo Dutti [Sunglasses] Emporio Armani

Hey everyone. It’s Friday so there’s no better time to show you a casual look and get you in the weekend mode. This look was pretty much built around this carpet textured sweater. I love how the texture is so heavy that it can easily be seen from a distance. Also isn’t the color just perfect for Autumn? Just a quick tip when sweater shopping. Always buy a size smaller than you normally wear. A tighter fit will look cleaner without too many wrinkles and also keep you warmer by snugging your body. Wishing you all a dapper weekend!

Let Turtleneck Season Begin

[Blazer] Sisley [Sweater] Costume National [Trousers] Zara [Shoe] Doucals

This is the first time of probably many that you’ll see me wearing a turtleneck this year. They are so effortless and easy to style, making them a fall/winter essential in my book. I'll write more about them in a later post but today I wanted to share with you one simple way to style a turtleneck. If you have one in a darker color then try using it as a blank pallet and throw on a fun blazer. Sometimes patterned blazers can be hard to style and it can seem impossible to find a matching tie. With a turtleneck you don’t need to do any thinking at all. They really do go with everything and even have a slightly more formal appearance than a crew neck sweater. Just trust me and try on a turtleneck. I’m sure you’ll like it.

Early Autumn Vibes

[Shirt] BD Baggies [Blazer] Zara [Vest] WE Fashion [Trousers] Drykorn
[Tie] Profuomo [Shoes] Massimo Dutti

I’m at it again. Mixing summer and winter pieces to form early autumn outfits is my new favorite thing to do. This time I’m wearing the jacket from one of my favorite summer suits. I paired it with thick wool trousers and a nice chunky tie to create a bit of an autumn feel. Any thoughts on the outfit? Also in my last post I said that I will be having a giveaway next week. Unfortunately the giveaway date has changed and is now scheduled to go live on Monday, November 9th. Make sure to look on my social media accounts for small hints of what you could win. Have a great weekend!

Bringing Back The Old [Red Denim]

[Blazer] Sisley [Shirt] Gant [Jeans] Scotch & Soda [Tie] Profuomo
[Shoes] G.H. Bass [Sunglasses] Trussardi

Red jeans, well actually all colored denim was huge a few years back. I remember stocking up on every color I could find and thinking I was the coolest kid on the streets. That trend, like many, has faded away but that doesn’t mean you still can’t rock colored denim. Pair them with a simple sweater for a laid back weekend look or step it up a notch and add a casual blazer to make them more weekday appropriate. Red is probably the safest color to wear and will match well with all shades of blues and creams. Mustard yellow is another great autumn option or if the weather is still warm enough try a light green denim paired with a linen shirt and blue sweater. What do you guys think about colored denim? Is it a thing of the past? Oh and I've got an exciting giveaway coming up next week. More info coming soon.
