University Style [The Camo Suit]

[Sweater] John Smedley [Shirt] Dsquared [Shoes] Massimo Dutti

This camo suit got plenty of wear last winter and now it’s back in rotation once again. This time instead of wearing it with a shirt and tie I went for more of a ‘university’ look by wearing it over a cable knit sweater and denim shirt. I normally don’t like wearing a suit with a basic crew neck sweater because it’s far too simple and can show a lack of personal style. However; with a printed suit it’s not difficult to see that thought was put into the outfit. I chose to not accessorize much and rather let the suit speak for itself. All I’m wearing is a leather bracelet and round glasses to go with the university theme. I also added a couple of books because… well, there is no real reason. Let’s just say it was an original idea that may or may not turn into a trend (most likely won’t). Anyways what are you’re thoughts on the suit? Would love to know below. Thanks as always for reading

Knit Blazer Or Cardigan?

[Knit Blazer] Ben Sherman [Shirt] Burberry [Trousers] Kent & Curwen [Tie] Jack Spade
[Sunglasses] Trussardi [Sneakers] Zara [Watch] Daniel Wellington

Many of you guys are crazy for ties. I know this because my more formal outfits always receive the highest interaction. I know that younger men are starting to interest themselves with formalwear, something that 10 years ago was never even thought of. Whether you're buying vintage ties in thrift stores or investing in luxury neckwear from designer houses the fact remains that many of us have an ever growing tie collection. It can get difficult finding new ways to incorporate these ties into your outfits. Wear one with a suit? We all do it. Wear one with a blazer and odd trouser? Been done before. How about a knit blazer? Or is it a cardigan? Not really sure what to call it, but that must be a good thing. If it doesn’t have a proper name then it’s for sure not being over worn. Try searching for one of these knit blazers next time your shopping. Look for a notch lapel (not shawl). Also this is the most casual of a blazer available so there will always be patch pockets as well as the missing chest pocket. This is a great alternative for those blazers that are on repeat. Pair one with jeans and a knit tie for the perfect semi-casual look. Shop some of my favorite knit blazers below.

Heavy Outerwear [Snow Edition]

[Shirt] Dsquared2 [Jeans] The Kooples [Coat & Blazer] Zara [Tie] Profuomo
[Shoes] Loake Shoemakers [Glasses] Tods

Sorry for looking so cold but what can I say. An unexpected November snow shower came yesterday and I found myself pulling out one of the heaviest overcoats I own. It's actually much thicker than it looks and when buttoned  kept my body incredibly warm. The problem was that I wasn’t wearing gloves or a hat. Just take a look at my bright red hands and ears. (Note to self: wear gloves). Anyways I would of rather have saved this outfit for the colder winter months but with this weather I didn’t really have a choice. I’m not that big into parkas so coats like this are what get my through the winter. I decided to go with white denim because I absolutely love the way white clothing looks against snow. You definitely need to be careful because white denim in slush is not a great idea but it’s worth the risk for a clean and crisp look. I also wore a chunky knit tie and heavy wool blazer for added texture. I sure hope this is the last snowy outfit for some time. You can shop some of my favorite outerwear pieces below. Have a great week!

SuitSupply: The ultimate heaven for menswear. If you’re not already familiar with them then allow me to introduce you to one of the coolest menswear brands on the market. This dutch based clothing brand specializes in high quality suiting and menswear at affordable prices. Upon entering one of there stores you will most likely be speechless by all the beauty. Walls of suits and ties with plenty of comfortable chairs to sit back and enjoy a coffee while shopping. They even have an in-house tailor in the middle of the shop floor. You can literally watch as they hem your pants or make any other alterations that are needed. If you love menswear then this is the first place to go.

This past Wednesday I attended an evening presentation at there Hamburg flagship store. There was plenty of champagne and wine to go around plus delicious hor d’oeuvres. The store was hopping with a live DJ but the best part was of course the clothes. Even the women loved what they saw. If you have a Suitsupply in your city run there as fast as you can and check out there new F/W collection. I bet you can't leave empty handed.

Checked Blazer X Turtleneck [Feeling Cold]

[Sweater] Suitsupply [Shirt] Dsquared [Blazer] Zara [Pants] Moschino [Shoes] Del Toro
[Glasses] Tods [Bracelet] Bottega Venetta

The days are starting to get a lot shorter. Like really at 4pm the sun starts setting and all that natural lighting for photos is gone. The fall’s great but I can definitely live without shorter days and on top of that it's been so rainy and cold. Here are a few photos taken right before darkness came and if you look close enough you can even see rain falling. I’m wearing one of my favorite double breasted blazers. I love the fit and shape so much plus it came with me on my Shanghai trip. You can see I’m once again covered up in a turtleneck but I won’t get started on the versatility of these beauties. I’ll just say to wear them and wear them often. It’s the only sweater option that says casual and elegant at the same time. Shop some similar pieces from this outfit below and don’t forget to keep scrolling and enter my giveaway. If your lucky you could win one of two $100 gift cards to EastDane.com Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
