Balmain X H&M: Everything You Need To Know And More

Tomorrow’s the day that the much anticipated Balmain X H&M collection will finally drop in stores and online. It seems that every year the designer collections become more and more difficult to get our hands on. In years past during collaborations with Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander Wang and Stella McCartney items have sold out within minutes of the stores opening and due to heavy traffic the online shop has crashed multiple times. If you want to get your hands on some of these rare pieces make sure to read all the details and follow my tips.

Tips For Surviving #HMBALMAINATION

  • Arrive early: If there's one thing that has been learned from previous H&M designer collaborations it’s that the items are in high demand. Make sure to arrive as early as you can to get those colored bracelets. Even if it means camping out the night before.
  • Go with a friend: Shopping is always better with a friend but for this event it is necessary. Maybe after hours of waiting in line you need a bathroom break. Your friend can save your place in line. Or maybe you need that all important latte. Your friend can wait as you sprint off to Starbucks.
  • Bring water: It's possible that H&M staff will be there early handing out small bottles of water and snacks but it’s not a guarantee. Make sure to bring something to quench your thirst while waiting.
  • Dress in layers: The weather is incredibly unpredictable this time of the year. You don’t want to be freezing cold or burning up so try to wear thin layers that can easily be removed or added when necessary.
  • Don’t be afraid to shove: Lets be honest, all that we are really here for is to get our hands on or wish items. If that means a little pushing and elbowing then so be it.

Shopping Details And Information
  • The collection will be available in select stores and online at 8 am local time on November 5, 2015.
  • In store purchases are limited to 2 items per product. This means you can purchase no more than 2 of the same shirt or shoes. However you are able to purchases as many different products as you like. Online customers are limited to only 1 item per product.
  • The first 420 people at the participating H&M store will be given a colored bracelet. There are 14 colors, one for each group of 30 customers. The earliest people waiting will receive the first bracelets and be in the first shopping group. Each group will have 15 minutes to shop.
  • If you arrive after the first 420 people then you will not receive a bracelet and will have to wait until all groups have finished to be able to enter the Balmain area of the store.
  • Returns can be made up until November 8th with the original receipt and a photo ID.

Good Luck And Have Fun Shopping!
